Day 39 of Embracing the Wonders of Life !

Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting at a virtual SAP event where our global SAP leadership shared their best practices, insights, and the latest developments. Given our Sogeti SAP Business Assurance capabilities, it was the perfect moment to highlight the impact we’ve made for our clients. But this event was unique in more ways than one—it was called "SAP Symphony," and the organizing committee had a special request for me: to bring my guitar and integrate it into the presentation.

I started with a rendition of We Are the Champions, which felt like the perfect metaphor for what we can achieve by combining all our capabilities. But as I played, I had a powerful realization: the ability to merge your passions creates something truly unique—while bringing a lot of personal joy. In this case, my passion for work and my love for playing the guitar came together in a moment that felt incredibly rewarding.

It reminded me of a story I often tell. When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a rock guitarist, but my "sausage fingers" had other plans. While I didn't become the guitarist I once imagined, I realized that many elements of that dream are present in my professional life today. In my role, I still get to be creative, stand on a stage (even if it’s a virtual one), and sign off on plenty of things!

It made me think: dreams might not always unfold exactly as we envision, but if we focus on the key elements of those dreams, we can often weave them into our reality. In that sense, are we not still living the dream?

At the end of the day, I had a blast playing guitar at SAP Symphony—and that, in itself, felt like a dream come true.
